Current times, with the shift in economics and the overall market changes, today’s leaders are quite challenged and should be well awake to create and sustain a future for a company. As the future is always an insecure momentum, not many of us know where this is heading. However, those in balance with themselves have a sustainable base to face changing times. It might ask a lot, perhaps a shift in the product portfolio. Who knows? Fact is, what today might work well, might be overhauled tomorrow.
Current times ask more of the contrary of what we are doing. Why? It is a reflection towards yourself, to create new activities or products to sustain in changing times. The more you should spend time on creating a goal set which covers short and long term visions. Make sure you walk along with time. Don't force any over enthusiastic decisions, reflect them, rest on them, shape them and reinvent them. Deploy consciously.
If you became part of discontinued operations, do the same out of protection of shareholder values, own ethical values and in my opinion, more important for your loyal customers and employees. They where the ones who created a history for the company. The bright part of a discontinuing operation is that it allows freedom of exploring opportunities or possibilities never thought off, create a mutual sense or a delegation of responsibilities.
